Emily Baum (MACP, RCC)
Registered Clinical Counsellor
Emily is accepting new clients for in-person sessions in Vancouver, and online and phone appointments! Services available in both English and Spanish.
Emily is a dedicated Registered Clinical Counsellor specializing in a holistic, person-centered, and non-pathologizing approach to mental health and well-being. She is passionate about guiding individuals and couples through their unique journeys, helping them to find healing and growing through traumatic and challenging experiences. Through developing connected interpersonal relationships, she helps individuals and couples to transform the chaos of life into calm. Her goal as a counsellor is to provide validation, affirmation, gentle guidance, and hope for a path to your better future.
Emily sees a diverse range of clients, from individuals 12+, to couples and families. She has specialized experience working with clients navigating reproductive challenges; pregnancy & postpartum; parenting (with a special interest in single parenting experiences); relationship challenges; first responders and military personnel; couples; borderline personality disorder; recovering from relational abuse; and clients navigating mental health concerns such as depression and anxiety.
Emily considers it a privilege to walk with her clients through their challenging seasons, reminding them that they are not alone, and that when it comes to being a woman or a mother, there is no one-size-fits-all or “right way” of doing or being. She strives to tailor her approaches to best meet her clients’ needs and goals, and aims to create a warm, welcoming, and empathetic space where clients and couples feel safe, heard and valued. Whether you prefer a more free-form, open-ended approach or a more structured therapy, Emily will journey alongside you every step of the way.
Emily is offering sessions online or via telephone, as well as in-person sessions in Vancouver, BC.
