Farah AlHomoud (RCC)

Registered Clinical Counsellor

Farah is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) who enjoys working with women of all ages, including youth, adults, and elderly, who have experienced trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and attachment or relationship challenges.

She also has experience supporting women navigating life transitions, addiction, grief, domestic abuse, immigration or cultural transitions, racial identity, low self-esteem, shame, guilt, stress, and other women’s issues. She particularly enjoys helping women reconnect with their bodies and themselves in a holistic way, including mind, body, and soul, while increasing emotional awareness, building coping skills, and developing confidence, as well as supporting women in reconnecting with their purpose, setting and achieving meaningful goals, and embracing personal growth. Farah finds it deeply rewarding to work with women who are open to change and committed to exploring growth in a safe and supportive environment.

Clinical Training & Expertise

Farah holds advanced certifications in trauma-informed care and somatic interventions, allowing her to offer a deeply grounded and neurobiologically informed therapeutic experience. She completed her Trauma-Informed Practice training through the University of British Columbia (UBC), mastering both the physiological impacts of trauma on the body and experiential healing techniques.

Her expertise is further bolstered by specialized certification in Somatic Trauma Healing, where she utilizes polyvagal theory and body-based interventions to help clients regulate their nervous systems. In addition, she is trained in Motivational Interviewing through the Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC), a collaborative approach that helps clients resolve ambivalence and find internal motivation for change.

Looking forward, Farah is currently completing her EMDR training with EMDRIA. She is excited to begin integrating this powerful, evidence-based modality into her practice starting in May 2026 to further support clients in processing and moving past distressing life experiences.
