Ally Cannon

Ally Cannon

Ally is welcoming new individual adults and youth (12+) across Canada for online and phone appointments, in addition to in-person counselling services.

Ally offers a safe and grounded, trauma-informed space for individual adults and youth (12+), with the option to involve partners or family members when it supports the individual’s healing. She has extensive experience helping people navigate major life transitions, including work with Northern communities impacted by intergenerational trauma, clients in persistent pain programs, and individuals impacted by PTSD and high-stress events.

As a mother to a four-year-old boy, Ally understands firsthand how transformative —and demanding—parenting can be. This lived insight shapes her steady, compassionate approach and reflects her love of supporting parents and single parents through the complex terrain of co-parenting, separation, and high- conflict family-law or custody processes.

Ally welcomes clients with a broad scope of presenting challenges, including relationship patterns, communication difficulties, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, and limiting beliefs that impact day-to-day wellbeing. Her therapeutic style is collaborative and deeply supportive. She integrates somatic EMDR, IFS-informed work, and strengths-based narrative practices to help clients reconnect with their inner resources, regain clarity, and move forward with a renewed sense of hope and direction.
